Producing accessible content

Communicating in a simple, concise manner is an incredibly important consideration when designing your website. Here's some things to think about, for more detail, view University standards on producing accessible copy:

  • Use bullet points and subheadings to break up the text
  • Front-load your subheadings, titles and bullet points, putting the most important bit first
  • Avoid block capitals
  • Write in short sentences
  • Use simple vocabulary
  • Use words that are easy to understand
  • Avoid using abbreviations without first introducing the full context
